How Universal Lnbf Change Lo 9750 10600

I purchased two Avenger LNBF's from Rick & I've tried everything to get signal from them. I basically become nothing. I've tried everything from 1m to 6 human foot dishes & always get null quality. I run across the label on them says 9750/10600 so what should the frequency setting on the Linkbox? On my Sathero I chose 10600 and still see naught. Settings or problems with the LNB'due south. Needing assist. I was waiting for spring to set upward a dish for myself & my Dad and I'm stumped. First timing using LNBF's for Ku.

Hi Kermit,

In the Antenna Setup Menu, gear up the LNB Freq to Universal (9750/10600).

When y'all do this, information technology will greyness out the option for using a 22KHz switch, as now the receiver will be using 22KHz to select betwixt the two unlike LO frequencies being used by the LNBF.

With a Standard LNBF that uses simply 1 LO frequency of 10750, you would and so take the option to use a 22KHz switch, every bit information technology would no longer exist needed to pick between the ii different LO's used on a Universal LNBF.

The Universal LNBF's can receive a wider range of frequencies than the Standard, but for our N. American Satellites that have a range from 11700 to 12200 the Standard is fine.   Just you can nevertheless use a Universal here, as all you have to exercise is set the LNB setting to match the LNBF that yous are using.

Follow Rick'due south instructions to go it working first.

When using a Universal LNBF for a "domestic" satellite (11.7-12.2GHz range), I set the L.O. frequency to 10600 (single, *not* Universal) and manually set 22KHz to 'ON'. In other words, the "high band" is set to e'er on.
That style, when doing a blindscan the receiver doesn't waste time scanning the low ring.

Hi Rick & Captain,
Thank you lot both for the very useful advice. I'1000 anxious to try these out merely today wasn't the day. The winds were extremely strong all day today. Now we're going to get pelting and snow for a few days so my next risk will probable be Tuesday. Winter only doesn't want to go abroad. All these many years in the hobby and I'm still learning things! I really do appreciate the assistan. I'chiliad eager to try out Ku on a 1m dish...

I too accept a universal lnb and i go 5% more signal quality than my invacom that i broke while de-icing this winter!

Are you talking most one of those Invacom quad LNBFs? (the QPH-031)
I judge that's the trade-off for those LNBFs being able to receive both 11.vii-12.2GHz linear FSS and 12.2-12.7GHz circular DSS bands in ane unit. Cool engineering science, merely I still don't quite get why they are so pop. I judge they take their uses, but it's easy enough to use a stock-still dish for DSS. Just FYI, Invacom as well makes universal LNBFs - from single output all the mode up to quad (sadly, they discontinued the Quatro LNBF) that are pinnacle-notch.
The Octagon universal LNBF that Rick sells is also an excellent performer.

Yep i'yard talking almost those! They were great for people using motors.
