    I didn't know what information technology was, simply the symptops were a depression pitched moaning noise that got louder the faster i went. when i would drive on a road that had a curve to the correct, the noise would get even worse, i mean really loud. only on a left bend the noise would disappear.

    when i took the motorcar in for its waterpump/timing chugalug change, i had the guy listen to it and he said it was a bicycle bearing, as did a second place when i described the symptoms to them.

    I changed information technology, and the noises went away.

    I haven't tried this with a forepart wheel drive machine just I remember it would work. Front end cease off the ground and trans in neutral of class.

    Take the wheel associates with both hands and spin it. If the bearing is bad enough (it commonly is if it is making a noise yous can hear while driving) you will feel a "roughness" as the associates spins. Sometimes you volition hear the bearing as well. Information technology would sound like a very low pitch rumble. The rumble and crude feel are acquired by the bearing races being pitted and the rollers damaged. A new bearing will non have an feel to it considering the surfaces of the races and rollers are highly machined.

    Only call up that when yous exercise this inspection up front you volition have to fight with the transmission even in neutral. The rear wheels can exist done the same way just you don't take the resistance of the transmission to work with then they are easier to hear and experience when they are bad.

    You can also check the wheel assemblies for play by putting one hand at the top of the cycle (12 o'clock) and the other at the lesser of the wheel (6 o'clock). Push in with i hand while pulling out with the other, then contrary rapidly several times. You want to sentry the wheel assembly for pregnant movement that shouldn't be in that location. Repeat this test with your hands at 3 o'clock and ix o'clock.
